What is the Cycle to Work Scheme?

The Cycle to Work scheme is a Government-approved salary sacrifice programme that allows PAYE employees to purchase a bike and commuting accessories through their employer while saving on Income Tax and National Insurance.

Instead of paying upfront, the cost of your bike is spread over 12, 18 or 24 months via deductions from your gross salary.

This can deliver typical savings of 25%–47%, depending on your salary and tax band.

Electric bikes (e-bikes) are fully eligible under the scheme, provided they are UK road-legal (250W motor with assistance up to 25 km/h / 15.5 mph).

Some Cycle to Work retailers add scheme provider or commission fees onto the invoice once a Cycle to Work order is raised.

How to get started:

  1. Pick your e-bike (and any accessories) on Rocket Ebikes. If you can’t see a specific accessory, email sales@rocketebikes.co.uk and we’ll add it.
  2. Confirm which provider your employer uses (Gogeta, Enjoy Benefits, or Vivup). If none, we can help them sign up.
  3. Submit your application via your employer’s chosen provider.
  4. Once approved, we process the order and ship your bike.
