Excelente DYU T1. Great e-bike . Thanks.
It's actually 27.5 inch tyres, not 26. So it suits even taller persons. There are some negatives but for the price you get a really cool stylish well built quality allround bike that handles winter and snow with a breeze (deflate the wide 2.5 inch tyres for more gripp on snow/ice) and in summer you can take of the rear rack, sidestand and put a smaller sadle for a nice stylish 24kg cruiser bike (inflate tyres in summer for better roll). I really like how the tyres are the perfect size, not too fat and not too small for those offroad or winter conditions. Negatives: Gearing ratio is not made for hillclimb. It came with UK style brakes, had to switch them around, a bolt on the rear caliper was loose and the led display doesnt show mileage / km status. Also you cannot switch off the power without turning off the whole unit and the battery status is hard to read as it goes up/down alot, there is no range status either. So i wish the LED display had that range+km info and perhaps a little bigger 15ah battery with 48v instead of 36v would suit this bike more, the 350w and throttle gives good power but the pedal assist is a bit slow to react, and there is an annoying cruise control feature which k dont know if i can turn off?
Overall still a great bike for the money and it feels very solid! Not water proof though so be aware of driving in too much rain and only clean the bike with towels! DYU seems like a good higher quality brand amongst the cheaper e-bike alternatives.
IMPORTANT BRAKING TIP! The no brand mechanical disc brakes may seem very bad at first, but if you align/adjust them correctly so they are flush onto the disc/rotor, and do a proper bed in / break in of the brake pads and THEN they should be pretty solid and strong enough. And dont forget to switch around the brake handles if you dont live in UK! Take care of your bike and it should last a long time, regurlarly check bolts and cables, do service etc. Cheers & Enjoy!
