ENGWE Zip Lightweight Folding Electric Bike
The all New ENGWE Zip is a lightweight folding electric bike designed for commuters, travellers and anyone who wants the convenience of an e-bike without the bulk of a conventional folding model. Compact, practical and easy to store, the Zip combines a clever triple-folding design with a smooth 250W motor, torque-sensing pedal assistance and a removable 360Wh battery.
Designed with portability at its heart, the ENGWE Zip folds down in seconds to a compact size that's ideal for storing at home, in the office or in the boot of a car. Weighing just 19.4kg including the battery, it's also considerably easier to move and carry than many full-size electric bikes. The bike itself weighs 16.9kg without the removable battery.
Power comes from a 250W rear hub motor producing 40Nm of torque, providing smooth assistance for everyday commuting and urban riding. Rather than simply switching the motor assistance on and off as you pedal, the integrated torque sensor responds to how hard you're pedalling, helping to create a more natural and intuitive riding experience.
The removable 36V 10Ah (360Wh) LG-cell battery provides a claimed maximum range of up to 120km (75 miles) in the lowest assistance setting, with ENGWE quoting approximately 85km (53 miles) in PAS 2 and 60km (37 miles) in PAS 3. Actual range will vary depending on rider weight, terrain, weather, assistance level and riding conditions.
The battery also incorporates PD 3.0 USB-C charging and discharging, allowing it to double as a portable power source for compatible devices when you're away from home.
For everyday riding, the ENGWE Zip is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and 16 x 1.95-inch urban tyres. A suspension seatpost adds extra comfort over uneven roads, while the colour LCD display keeps speed, battery level and assistance information clearly visible.
