The Hygge Virum Folding Ultra-Light Electric Bike (2025) is a refined, lightweight folding eBike built for modern urban commuting.

Designed with portability and everyday practicality in mind, the Virum combines a compact folding aluminium frame with premium components, making it ideal for city riders, commuters, and mixed transport journeys.

Unlike many lightweight folding eBikes, the Virum doesn’t compromise on performance. It features a smooth 250W rear hub motor delivering 42Nm of torque, paired with a Samsung 36V 10Ah seat-post battery, giving you reliable real-world range for daily use.

The addition of a Shimano Altus 8-speed drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes sets it apart from typical single-speed folding bikes — offering greater versatility across varied terrain while maintaining a lightweight and minimal design.

Whether you're commuting, storing it in a flat, or taking it on public transport, the Virum is built to make everyday riding simple, efficient, and enjoyable.

Warranty

At Hygge Bikes, we stand behind the quality of our products. We offer a standard 1-year warranty on all E-Bikes and accessories, starting from the date of delivery. The warranty covers manufacturing defects & faulty components under normal usage conditions.

What is Covered

  • Frame & Forks: Warranty covers any structural defects in the frame or forks due to manufacturing faults. (3 Years on the Frame)
  • Battery & Motor: Warranty covers defects in the motor & battery that affect the performance & functionality of the E-Bike.
  • Brake Failure & Defects: Warranty covers any Brake Failure and Brake replacement.
  • Electrical Components: Warranty includes issues with electrical components, such as the display, controllers, & wiring, that are a result of manufacturing defects.
  • Accessories: Warranty covers defects in accessories provided by Hygge Bikes, such as helmets, chargers, & bike locks, as long as they are used under normal conditions.

What is Not Covered

  • Damage from Accidents or Improper Use: The warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect.
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Wear & tear on components such as tires, brakes, chains, & gears is not covered by the warranty.
  • Modifications: If the E-Bike or accessories have been modified in any way, including the installation of non-original parts, the warranty may be voided.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us at support@hyggebikes.com with the following details:

  • Order number & proof of purchase
  • Clear photos or videos showing the defect
  • A description of the issue

Once your claim is reviewed, we will provide you with further instructions on how to return the item for inspection or arrange for a repair.

Repairs & Coverage for Non-Warranty Issues

If your E-Bike or accessories require repairs that are not covered by the warranty, Hygge Bikes offers repair services through our dedicated partners. We will assist in getting your bike or accessories repaired at a reasonable cost. Please contact support@hyggebikes.com to inquire about repair coverage & pricing.

Warranty Repair Process

  1. Claim Submission – Email support@hyggebikes.com with the required information for warranty claims.
  2. Inspection – Once the item is returned, we will inspect the defect & determine if the issue is covered under warranty.
  3. Repair or Replacement – If the claim is approved, we will either repair or replace the defective parts at no cost to you. If a replacement is needed, we will arrange for an exchange of the defective parts or bike.
  4. Timeline – Repairs are typically completed within 7-14 business days after the item is received. Shipping times may vary depending on location.
